A Conversation with Charleston’s Favorite Local Brewers, Chris Brown and JT Stellmach of Holy City Brewing

Holy City Brewing is a North Charleston-based craft brewer that offers ales and lagers for all tastes. Founded in 2011, they earned a Gold Medal award at the Great American Beer Festival for their Pluff Mud Porter and a Bronze for their Washout Wheat. They’ve also been named the Best Local Brewery in Charleston for several years running and these days you can find their hand crafted, tasty Holy City brews across South Carolina, North Carolina and Georgia.

On this episode of The Way Out There we sit down to catch up with Chris Brown, one of the Holy City co-owners, and JT Stellmach, their brand manager and ambassador, to get the inside scoop on their new brewery in the works and a few other exciting projects on their plate. We also dig into the backstory of their crew and the brewery, and discuss the challenge of balancing crazy life and business schedules with the call of the outdoors.
