The Wings Group
Throughout the Southeast, few companies rival the Wings Group when it comes to commitment to our region’s natural spaces. Helmed by Elliott Davenport, the Chattanooga-based Wings Group uses boundless passion for the land and decades of experience to connect buyers and sellers to the Southeast’s most beautiful rural properties. With outdoor enthusiasts aplenty, our teams found a quick camaraderie, and we were eager to get to work on a new look and feel.
The Wings Group team initially approached us for a refresh of their core brand identity and palette. As we got to work, we found that the brand’s aging Squarespace site posed difficulties in maintaining an ever-expanding list of properties. Considering the need to showcase comprehensive photo and video assets, we found that only a custom CMS and frontend would do. Working with the Wings Group team, we created a custom layout and WordPress-based backend CMS, providing maximum flexibility and room to grow.
Through our collaborative brand identity process, we explored a variety of marks for the brand, eventually settling a striking duck decoy that incorporated the signature Wings Group “W.” From there, we refined the core palette to incorporate more naturalistic greens and browns.
