A very exciting day here at Blue Ion yesterday as we launched a new site for Sealevel Systems.
Sealevel is a well respected and highly recognized leader in the digital I/O industry. They got their start back in 1984 when Tom O’Hanlan designed the first RS-422/485 communication adapter for the IBM PC… now, more than 20 years on, they manufacture more than 300 I/O devices that serve the aerospace, military, marine, medical and automotive industries, to name a few.
Their name comes from Tom’s love of music and desire to give the company a name that was unlike any other computer company… thus Sealevel. Today, former Sea Level band member Chuck Leavell (who’s also jammed with the Rolling Stones, and The Allman Brothers Band) serves as their celebrity spokesperson.
The site includes a huge ecommerce effort, knowledgebase, search, lots of social integration, YouTube player / gallery, and more… Big thanks to all involved, the folks at Sealevel and RY, BD, JC, JB, CS, CA and RP.
