Commercial breaks during week night Wonder Years episodes have been pushing Mirapex as a treatment for Restless Legs Syndrome. I frequently enjoy listening to the side effects of any drug being promoted. Usually the side effects are worse than the problem that the drug is attempting to treat. Sexual side effects (usually negative), sweating, loose stools, etc.

Well, I couldn’t believe my ears when the Mirapex commercial ran. After about the third time I heard it, I realized that one of the side effects included the urge to gamble and an increased sex drive. Now that is some breakthrough medication!
