Chili Dreams are Made of This

The team here at Blue Ion is going to be participating in the 15th Annual Chili Cookoff & Oyster Roast on November 22nd. The proceeds of the event go towards helping Charleston’s homeless, abused, and abandoned animals. We take competition serious, so we’ve been putting team members chili through the paces over the last few weeks. So far there’s been 3 internal entrants… Woody’s Winter White Chili, Jake’s Jalapeno Heater, and Greg’s Cincy Steamer (all names FPO).

If you feel like donating to the cause, by all means, feel free to here. Our team name is 301Beef King (our office address is 301B King Street). Here’s our team mascot, Meat Head.

A pic and some slow-mo eating vids below from last Thursday’s internal testing session.

The chili is falling like beautiful orange snowflakes.

Chocolate in the chili? Yes, that’s Ghirardelli.

We wish everyone the best of luck in the event in a few weeks. Most of all, we wish all teams the best of luck with their fundraising efforts, as benefitting those furry friends that need our help is what’s most important.
