Case Study:
Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE)
Since 1983, the three-day Southeastern Wildlife Exposition (SEWE) has celebrated all things sporting lifestyle and conservation. Every February, SEWE draws exhibitors and outdoor enthusiasts from around the world to Charleston, South Carolina, to watch working dog demos, pick up fly-fishing pro-tips, and purchase sporting art and collectibles at auction. However, by 2020, the festival’s website was nearly 10 years old and lacked the flexibility and performance needed to support one of the Southeast’s premier events.
As our team embarked on a website revamp in early 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic suddenly hit—upending the entire event and mandating a rapid shift to e-commerce and digital experiences. Fortunately, our process allowed us to remain flexible throughout the planning and development phases. With the overhaul and creation of a new CMS and e-commerce platform, along with the ability to integrate art and artists in a more visible way, the new SEWE website was able to launch and host the event virtually in February 2021. Now, the SEWE crew can focus on welcoming guests back for in-person festivities in 2022 and beyond.
In A Nutshell:
