Case Study:

Holy City Brewing

Holy City Brewing was one of the first four breweries to open in Charleston, SC. Despite their place in what’s now a crowded craft beer market, they’ve carefully catapulted upwards and grown in popularity since their 2011 founding. No small feat.

December 2019 marked a momentous occasion for Holy City, as they moved from their original, humble space into a big, beautiful new brewery, taproom, and riverfront space in North Charleston’s buzzing Park Circle neighborhood. These super-savvy business owners learned long ago that that the key to longevity was working with local designers and artists to constantly churn out fresh, fun, and story-driven creative, influencing everything from Holy City’s beer names and styles, to ever-evolving labels, packaging, and environmental design.

We’ve been a proud partner of Holy City’s since 2017, creating new designs for seasonal and special releases, giving their original core brand designs by Sean Williams a small facelift, and are in the midst of helping develop new ways to package and promote their beers in grocery stores as they expand their distribution footprint across the Southeast. They even let us jump into the brew house to help make a hibiscus gose that we dubbed Way Out There, and introduced them to our friends at Bubba Blades to create a beer named after the aforementioned fishing gear brand.
