Our partnership with the Congressional Medal Of Honor Society marks one of Blue Ion’s most expansive website builds to date—and for good reason. At its core, this new website serves as a rich storytelling platform and a library for hundreds of stories that recount heroic acts of bravery at the hands of our country’s Medal of Honor Recipients. We started this project with the creation of a custom brand palette and visual design language for the Society and its sister foundation, consolidated under one brand website. Our greatest honor was working directly with Medal Recipients to ensure that their stories were given the justice they so rightly deserve. This Recipient feedback guided our development of a digital platform to meet the needs of a diverse group internal and external users and story-seekers: archivists, educators, and members. Not only is the site a repository for important American history dating back to 1864, it’s a critical tool for the Society as they work to expand their reach, visibility, and ultimately, the use of their Character Building programming for students in grades K-12 throughout the country.
