This world is but a canvas to our imagination.

In celebration of Henry David Thoreau’s 200th birthday (7-12-17) we wanted to remind ourselves of what simple living in the natural surroundings of the outdoors can really bring us, simplicity and mindfulness. These days with digital media, likes, follows and the bumbling motion of the internet, disconnecting from the chaos has gotten more difficult then ever. Thoreau was best known for embracing this idea of finding peace in the outdoors through his creative and philosophical writing. A lot of what Thoreau wrote about back then still resonates today especially concerning the everyday effort to strike a balance between our professional and personal time. I decided to commemorate his birthday by illustrating the man himself with one of my favorite quotes by him. Catch the process video out HERE.
