Tito’s Handmade Vodka: The big kahuna
Sometimes people say that they do not have a favorite client. Those people are liars. And Tito’s Handmade Vodka is my favorite client. Loved the brand/booze before I started at Blue Ion. Loved the site aesthetic from the start. Loved my weekly calls with the Tito’s team. And now, I love the new website for Tito’s Handmade Vodka.
We’ve launched a few microsites for our friends at Tito’s Handmade Vodka all the while the big kahuna (full website) was being worked on, constructed, crafted, and finalized. One thing we knew we wouldn’t touch – the small-time, quirky nature of the Tito’s brand. Make it pretty, but not too pretty. Be true to the brand.
Here are a few things we did want to accomplish:
- Build a responsive website where users could explore at ease
- Create an interactive map for users to find where to buy Tito’s
- Highlight the recipe database as a resource for vodka lovers and mixologists
- Improve the ecommerce experience

Recipes. Now available by season or whenever you want. And those infusions…..hot damn, they are gooooood.
So you want a Tito’s Handmade Vodka record player? No problem. New storefront coming at you.
Then there’s all the things you want to accomplish that don’t make the main objectives list OR don’t come up until you really get in to the project. Maybe you thought of them early on or maybe they were intended to happen but you never really know how awesome it will be until it starts to happen. These next few things came about in that kind of way.
Everyone wanted to tell Tito’s story. The whole story. Unedited and written by Tito himself.
These ridiculous photoshoots with specialty cocktails. And, oh by the way, the recipe is only a click away. The best part about these recipes are they are all submitted by fans (sometimes professional bartenders who are also fans).
We even did our own recipe photoshoot, as seen on the Age Verify page.
We couldn’t think of a name for this page. It had to house so many little things that showed how fun of a brand it is (songs to download, dog stuff, events, festivals) and most of all, how fans could join in. We were clearly overthinking it. I present to you, the Join the Fun page.
Tito Beveridge is Tito’s real name. Who wouldn’t want to ask a guy named Tito Beveridge a thing or two?
Drinking is social business. So we decided to bring social into the business.
There are still more fun things to explore on the Tito’s Handmade Vodka website that I haven’t covered here. Like the Tito’s Taster page. And the Infusions videos. But you’ll need to check those out for yourself.
So maybe I’m a superfan. And maybe my dog has been on Tito’s Vodka For Dog People Instagram. And maybe I’ll serve Tito’s Handmade Vodka at my wedding. But at least I’m admitting to having a favorite.
