the good, the bad and the ugly

In art school, they taught us to learn from the masters by creating a “master copy” of a piece from an artist we admire. My favorite painter is John Singer Sergeant. Hes an amazing painter. I attempted to copy “Lady Agnew,” one of my favorite painting of his of his wife. It didn’t come out quite how I wanted – the head proportions are off and the right hand could look more gracefful but overall I am happy with the general outcome. Cloth is hard!
