Parliament Progress

Parliament was in session yesterday afternoon and it was great to get an update on all efforts underway. For those that don’t know Parliament, it’s a group of Charleston area professionals who are working (volunteering) to help boost the creative scene here. They initiated the Pecha Kucha Charleston effort, they’re working on an economic impact study to measure just how important the creative industries are to our region, and they’re working with/collaborating with other groups like the Charleston Arts Coalition to make an impact.

Many people have contributed their time and energy to the effort, which is the only way this could/should work. I’d like to give a special shout out to the gang at Fuzzco for developing such a great identity/mark for the group. There’s a fun backstory to the name/mark, so ask Josh what that’s all about. Look for a website and other extensions in the near future.
