Launching a New Email Program With Patrick Properties

A couple of weeks ago we formally launched a brand new email marketing program for our friends at Patrick Properties. Similar to the new Web site and blog relaunch, the email marketing program was built from the ground up.

Here’s a quick look at the process.

1. Initial discovery uncovers how email marketing has been used in the past, how we could segment their exisiting and future client/prospect lists, and what sort of ongoing content will be produced to communicate with these segments. We also dig into how email marketing can (and should) fit into the bigger picture sales cycle and marketing communications strategy.

2. From there we end up with a strategic plan that flows into the creative design and technical implementation.

3. Design time. We’ll take what we learned from the content plan and develop the appropriate email templates to fit. We’ll also design a nice signup page when appropriate. See theirs here. We strive to find a nice balance between html and graphics to ensure readability across all email clients. Here are a few screens including the initial wireframe.


patprop_enews3. Technical implementation: we’ve got an amazing email system that is installed on their server (no hosted ongoing costs) and completely customized from the ground up. This includes integration with the existing Web site and the entire subscription and unsubscribe flow. Here’s a screen shot of the dashboard.
