It’s a Zach Attack

Introducing Zach Schnackel, our newest member of the Blue Ion Team: Programming Dept!

Zach comes to us from Raleigh, NC, relocating with his wife to start the next chapter of their life in Charleston. He brings a very fresh perspective on development within Blue Ion, with skills in completely customized WordPress CMS platforms, custom Plugin development, focusing on mobile-first/Responsive design for front-end, HTML5, a host of jQuery experience and techniques, and utilizing SASS for rapid development and exacting CSS3 styles. We are excited to learn as much from Zach as he is from us, our clients and new projects, as well as to push the bar higher and higher from the web development perspective.

In the short week and half that Zach has started, he’s already worked quickly on completing BETAs of two sites (soon to be launched and featured on our Blog), coordinated the start of a much larger, Responsive site while working up a working prototype of a dreamt up technique to try out, handled many of our ongoing Client needs, and even beat Chris Simpson a couple games in Ping Pong at HoM.

Zach and his wife, Sara, have two, young Siberian Huskies that love tearing things up, playing in the sand and surf of their new beach world, and are prepared to keep cool during the hot summers in Charleston. Sara adds another resource for baked goodies for the office, as she sweetened us up during a job interview trip with homemade pumpkin fudge. We look forward to (expect) more of the same. Sara is also working for a local construction company doing administrative planning.
