Most people really struggle with “blister packs”…those bombproof (and five finger discount proof) clear plastic packages that manufacturers use to encase their goods. Prying open those two layers can lead to hypertension, depression, lacerations and pulled teeth. It took me 2 hours to crack open my new My Little Pony pony.
The other week the New York Times had a nice article about the solution we’ve all been waiting for. It’s OpenX and it rips those blister packs open with one simple swipe of the hand. The only catch is that when you buy the OpenX it comes in a blister pack…which is kind of crazy. But they do highlight that “it’s the last package you’ll struggle to open.”
Can’t we just find a better way to package stuff? A bit easier, a bit less wastefull?
