Digital Takes Down Print

Forbes reports that a recent media study by Outsell reveals that in 2010 marketers will invest more media dollars in digital/online than in print. That’s a moment many predicted and according to this study it’s now reality.

Of the $368 billion marketers plan to spend in 2010, 32.5% will go toward digital and 30.3% to print. That represents an almost 10% increase for digital, which includes search, email, video and display advertising. Not all gloomy for print, however. Outsell predicts an almost 2% increase in ad spending for magazines this year.

Would like to know more, but they’re asking $1,295 for the study. We’ll split with 1,295 other firms if anyone’s interested.
