Charleston Voted Top City in U.S.

Last night Charleston was named the “Top City in the United States” at the annual Conde Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards event. Native Stephen Colbert was there to accept the award on behalf of the city and residents, as was the Charleston Area CVB team and local travel partners. We’ve been in the top ten for years (ranking number two last year)…this is the first time that readers put us on the top.

To celebrate the moment we worked with the CVB team, Hook and Jewell & Ginnie to create a Thanks Y’all response and accompanying website at charlestonly.com . The site features locals speaking of the magic of this place, an overview of the Readers’ Choice award criteria, an offer to join the Insiders Club for a chance at free getaways, and a list of special travel packages.
