Blue Ion Football Club – Champs Again

For the 3rd time in the past 4 years, the BIFC (Blue Ion Football Club) took the Champion’s Cup at the recent Beer City Cup in Asheville. It’s a great tournament, featuring teams from across the Southeast, craft beer, food trucks and more. Once again, coach/player Theodore “Rich” Yessian assembled an elite squad to compete in the Open Division. The stakes ($$ prize) were high and the other teams were gunning for the defending champs. In the end, it came down to BIFC vs. Nashville and the team from CHS took the crown and money. We haven’t seen any pics from the post tournament celebration, but I’m sure they burned through the prize money by sunrise.
