Angelika at Mosaic Premier

I headed up to our nation’s capital last Thursday for the opening of Angelika Film Center’s newest theater – the Angelika at Mosaic in Fairfax, Virginia. It was a first-class affair, complete with red carpet, step-and-repeat backdrop, and some seriously awesome food and drink.

For those that don’t know, Angelika is a celebration of the movie-going experience. State-of-the-art theaters and sound systems are complemented by lobby and lounge areas that encourage you to spend some time before and after a film catching up with friends and enjoying the evening out. And the cafe offers quality food that may find you enjoying a gourmet sandwich in addition to your standard popcorn and pretzels.

If you’re in the area, I highly recommend you check it out. The surrounding Mosaic area is still under construction, but new shops are opening throughout the year, and Angelika Film Center is a great anchor to draw the crowds.
