Two great ways to get out and enjoy Charleston’s awesome spring weather this Sunday (May 16). First off is the Battery2Beach inaugural group ride at 10 am. Riders will leave from the two proposed end points….Isle of Palms and Folly Beach…and then meet up at the Battery (White Point Gardens) downtown. For those looking to pedal a shorter stretch, you can join the riders at any point along the routes. A post-ride party will be held at Vickery’s downtown.

Then, things will move over to King Street for the inaugural Do The Charleston event. King Street will be closed to cars between Calhoun and Queen Streets…..from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm…..so that pedestrians and cyclists can enjoy the day while restaurants and stores “take over” the street.
