Way Out There In Alabama

Last week a team of three of us (the three musketeers) ventured out of our city life in Charleston and went to the great outdoors of Alabama to visit a good client of ours Russell Lands. As a girl from the West I love a good trip out of the city into greener pastures but Alabama was uncharted territory for me. I had never entered the state, let alone drive 2 hours outside the city to Alexander City a town with a population of 14,000 people. We spent three days by Lake Martin amongst the changing leaves, blown away by the absolute beauty of the area. This best kept secret is off the beaten path for most but well worth the trip.
