15 Kilo Ego Booster

I am a huge soccer fan, so checking out soccernet.com is a daily ritual, especially since the English Premier League just kicked off.

Since transfers and new player signings are always part of the headlines in the off-season and into the beginning of the season, I’ve been keeping a close eye on all the latest signings.

My hyper-awareness of transfer news led to this great story: Romanian player sold for a chunk of meat. In this case, “chunk” is 15 Kilos. Yum.

To add insult to injury, the player promptly quit the team he was traded to.

So the team was out a player and stew for at least a week. Here’s a tasty (sorry) quote from the coach:

“We are upset because we lost twice — firstly because we lost a good player and secondly because we lost our team’s food for a whole week.”
